Welcome to Tournament Sense! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tournament Sense suite of applications: Tournament Sense: Bowling, Tournament Sense: Coach, and Tournament Sense: Director (collectively, "the Apps"), as well as the Tournament Sense website and any related services (collectively, "the Services").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using any of the Apps or Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Apps or Services.
Tournament Sense provides a suite of applications for the bowling community:
To use the full functionality of the Apps, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Your bowling data is stored locally on your device by default. Cloud sync and cross-app integrations require an active account and, in some cases, a Pro subscription.
Certain features require a paid subscription or license:
All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms and conditions. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device's app store settings.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies. We do not directly process payments or issue refunds.

You retain all rights to the data and content you create within the Apps, including scores, notes, reports, and financial records. By using cloud sync or cross-app features, you grant Tournament Sense a limited license to store, transmit, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Services.
For published content (such as tournament standings shared via public links), you grant Tournament Sense a non-exclusive license to display that content publicly as directed by you.
All content and intellectual property within the Apps, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, software, and design, are the property of Tournament Sense or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.
USBC, PBA, PWBA, Brunswick, QubicaAMF, League Secretary, and other third-party names referenced in the Apps are trademarks of their respective owners. Tournament Sense is not affiliated with or endorsed by these organizations unless explicitly stated.
We take the security of your data seriously. The Apps employ end-to-end encryption (SQLCipher, AES field-level encryption), secure key storage, and server-side access controls. However, no system is perfectly secure. You acknowledge that you use the Apps at your own risk and that we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
THE APPS AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Tournament Sense is not responsible for the accuracy of scores, statistics, standings, or financial calculations. Directors and league secretaries are responsible for verifying the accuracy of data entered into the Apps.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TOURNAMENT SENSE, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APPS OR SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APPS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tournament Sense and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Apps, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Apps at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Apps ceases immediately. Data stored locally on your device remains accessible. Cloud-synced data will be retained for 30 days following account deletion to allow for recovery, after which it will be permanently removed.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may also provide notice within the Apps. Your continued use of the Apps after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Apps shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, unless you opt out within 30 days of accepting these Terms by contacting us at the email address below.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
