Customer Management
Your customer list is the heart of Pro Shop. Track every bowler's preferences, ball inventory, work order history, and notes so you can deliver personalized service every time they walk in.
Adding a New Customer
Tap the + button on the Customers screen to create a new customer record.
Basic Information
Enter the customer's name, email address, and phone number. Only the name is required; the rest is optional but recommended.
Bowling Details
Record their bowling average, dominant hand (left or right), and any PAP (Positive Axis Point) measurements you have on file.
TS Identifier (Optional)
If the customer uses any Tournament Sense app, you can link their profile using their TS ID. This connects their data across the ecosystem.
Save
Tap Save to add the customer. They will appear in your customer list immediately.
Customer Detail View
Tap any customer to open their detail view. The detail screen is organized into four tabs:
- Profile — contact info, bowling stats, PAP measurements, and TS ID link.
- Balls — the customer's ball inventory with specs, layouts, and purchase dates for each ball.
- Work Orders — a complete history of all work orders for this customer, sorted by date.
- Notes — freeform notes for preferences, fitting observations, or anything you want to remember.
Tracking Customer Ball Inventory
On the Balls tab, you can add every ball in the customer's arsenal. For each ball, record:
- Ball name and brand — search the bowwwl.com database or enter manually.
- Weight — the ball weight in pounds.
- Layout — drilling angle, pin-to-PAP distance, and VAL angle.
- Purchase date — when the ball was purchased or drilled.
- Notes — surface adjustments, purpose (strike ball, spare ball), or other details.
Tip
When you create a work order for a customer, you can select from their existing ball inventory. This saves time and keeps all records linked.
Adding Notes & Preferences
The Notes tab lets you keep freeform notes about each customer. Common uses include:
- Grip preferences (finger inserts, thumb slug, interchangeable thumb)
- Span and pitch measurements
- Past fitting issues or adjustments
- Preferred ball reactions and playing style
Notes are timestamped and displayed in reverse chronological order so the most recent observations are always at the top.
Searching & Filtering
The customer list supports real-time search by name, email, or phone number. As you type, results filter instantly. You can also sort the list by:
- Name — alphabetical order (default).
- Recent — customers with the most recent work orders appear first.
- Ball count — customers with the most balls in their inventory appear first.
Tip
Use the search bar on the Customers screen to quickly find a customer when they walk in. Start typing any part of their name and the list updates instantly.
