Scoring
The scoring grid is optimized for speed. Enter an entire squad's scores in minutes, not hours. The interface is designed so each game takes six seconds or less to record.
Entering Scores
Open the Scoring Tab
Navigate to your tournament and tap the Scoring tab.
Select a Squad
Use the squad selector at the top to choose which squad you are scoring.
Tap a Cell
The scoring grid shows bowler names down the left side and game columns across the top. Tap any cell to enter a score.
Type the Score
Enter the game score (0-300) using the numeric keypad. The cursor automatically advances to the next cell.
Continue Through the Grid
Keep entering scores. Auto-advance moves you through each bowler's games in order. Totals update in real time.
Validation
Scores are validated as you type. The app rejects values outside the 0-300 range and highlights cells that need attention with a red border.
Offline-First Sync
Scores are saved locally first, so you never lose data even if connectivity drops. A pending sync indicator appears when scores have been saved locally but not yet uploaded. Once connectivity returns, the app syncs automatically.
Keyboard Shortcuts
On tablets and desktops with a physical keyboard, you can use these shortcuts for even faster entry:
- Tab — move to the next cell
- Enter — confirm score and advance
- Arrow keys — navigate the grid
- Escape — cancel current edit
Tip
Multiple scorers can enter scores simultaneously on different devices. Changes merge automatically in real time.
