League Scoring
Enter scores week by week using the schedule tab. Director handles team totals, handicap calculations, and standings updates automatically.
Entering Weekly Scores
Open the Schedule Tab
Navigate to your league and tap the Schedule tab. You will see a list of weeks.
Tap the Current Week
Tap the week you want to score. This opens the score entry grid for that week's matchups.
Enter Scores
The grid shows team players down the left and game columns across the top. Tap each cell and enter the game score. Team totals and handicap are calculated as you go.
Finalize the Week
When all scores are entered, tap Finalize Week. This locks the scores, computes match results (wins/losses/points), and updates the league standings.
Handling Special Cases
Not every bowler makes it every week. Director supports several special scoring situations:
- Absent — mark a bowler as absent. Their scores are recorded as zero (or the league's absent score rule).
- Blind — assign a blind score (typically average minus 10 or a fixed value set in league settings).
- Prebowl — enter scores that were bowled ahead of time. Mark the bowler as prebowl and enter their actual scores.
To apply any of these, long-press a bowler's name in the scoring grid and select the appropriate option from the menu.
Auto-Computed Results
When you finalize a week, Director automatically:
- Calculates handicap scores for each bowler and team
- Determines match winners for each game and total
- Awards points based on your league's scoring format
- Updates the league standings
- Recalculates bowler averages with the new scores
Tip
You can un-finalize a week if you need to correct a score. Tap the week, then use the overflow menu to select Un-finalize. Standings will recalculate after you re-finalize.
