Lane Assignments
Assign bowlers to lanes quickly with auto-assignment, average-based grouping, and multi-game lane shifts. The visual lane grid makes it easy to see and adjust assignments.
Opening Lane Assignments
Navigate to Your Tournament
Open the tournament and find the Lane Assignments section.
Select Squad & Game
Use the squad selector to pick which squad you are assigning, and the game selector to view assignments for a specific game.
Auto-Assign
Tap Auto-Assign to let Director place bowlers on lanes automatically. Configure:
- Shift Amount — how many lanes bowlers move between games (e.g., shift 2 lanes right after each game)
- Shift Direction — left or right
- Average-Based Grouping — group bowlers with similar averages together on adjacent lanes for fairer competition
Visual Lane Grid
The lane grid displays all available lanes as columns with bowler names in each cell. This gives you a bird's-eye view of the entire lane assignment layout.
Each lane pair is shown together (e.g., lanes 1-2, 3-4) since bowlers typically alternate between paired lanes.
Manual Reorder
To manually adjust assignments, drag a bowler's name from one lane to another. The grid updates immediately. This is useful for last-minute changes or when specific bowlers need to be on particular lanes.
Multi-Game Lane Shifts
Use the game selector to view lane assignments for each game. When auto-assign is configured with a shift, you can preview where every bowler will be for each game before the tournament starts.
Tip
Print the lane assignments and post them at the front desk so bowlers can find their starting lanes when they arrive.
