Create a League
The league wizard gets you from zero to a fully scheduled season in three steps. Teams, bowlers, and the weekly schedule are all generated automatically.
Step 1: League Settings
Configure the core details of your league.
League Name
Enter a name, e.g., "Monday Night Mixed" or "Thursday Scratch League".
Bowling Center
Select the center where the league bowls.
Schedule Type
Choose Weekly, Biweekly, or Monthly for how often the league meets.
Season Length & Games
Set the number of weeks in the season and how many games per session (typically 3).
Team Size
Set the number of bowlers per team (e.g., 4 for a standard team league, 1 for singles).
Handicap Settings
Set handicap percentage and basis, or leave at 0% for scratch leagues.
Additional Options
Configure fees, scoring format, position round weeks, and whether substitutes are allowed.
Step 2: Teams & Bowlers
Build your roster by adding teams and their bowlers.
Adding Teams
Tap Add Team to create a team. Enter the team name and captain name. Repeat for all teams in the league.
Adding Bowlers
For each team, tap Add Bowler and enter:
- Name — bowler's full name
- Average — entering average for handicap calculation
- USBC ID — optional, for sanctioned leagues
Step 3: Review & Create
Review your league configuration, team roster, and settings. When everything looks correct, tap Create League.
Director automatically generates the full weekly schedule based on the number of teams and weeks. Lane assignments, bye weeks, and matchups are all handled for you.
Tip
You can add, remove, or edit teams and bowlers after creation. The schedule adjusts automatically when teams change.
