Sessions
Sessions are the core of your coaching workflow. Track every lesson, practice, tournament observation, and video review with detailed notes, focus areas, and automatic fee calculation.
Creating a Session
Tap the + button on the Sessions tab or use the New Session chip on the Dashboard.
Select a Student
Choose which student this session is for from your roster.
Set Date & Time
Pick the session date and start time. The duration defaults to one hour but can be adjusted.
Choose Session Type
Select the type that best describes the session:
- Lesson — a standard one-on-one coaching session
- Practice — supervised practice with coaching guidance
- League — observing and coaching during league play
- Tournament — coaching during a tournament event
- Video Review — reviewing recorded footage together
- Assessment — an initial or periodic skill evaluation
Fee Calculation
The fee is automatically calculated from your hourly rate and the session duration. You can override it manually if needed.
Focus Areas
Select one or more focus areas for the session — approach, release, spare shooting, ball motion, mental game, or custom topics.
Notes
Add shared notes (visible to the student) and private notes (coach-only). You can update these during or after the session.
Homework
Optionally assign homework directly from the session form. This creates an assignment linked to the session.
Session List & Filters
The Sessions tab shows all your sessions with filter chips at the top:
- All — every session regardless of status.
- Scheduled — upcoming sessions that have not happened yet.
- Completed — sessions you have marked as done.
- Cancelled — sessions that were cancelled.
Marking a Session Complete
After a session, open it and tap Mark Complete. You will be prompted to review your notes and optionally adjust the fee or duration before finalizing. Completing a session automatically generates an invoice entry.
Frame Tracking During Sessions
During active sessions, you can track frames in real time. Tap Track Frames within the session to open the frame-by-frame scorer. This lets you record pin-by-pin data while coaching, giving you detailed analytics to review later.
Tip
Frame tracking during sessions gives you concrete data to reference in progress reports — you can show students exactly how their spare conversion or strike rate changed during a lesson.
Session Recap
After completing a session, a recap summary is generated showing the focus areas covered, any frames tracked, notes written, and homework assigned. This recap can be shared with the student.
Calendar Export
You can export any scheduled session to your device calendar as an .ics file. From the session detail screen, tap the calendar icon to download the event. This works with Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, and most calendar apps.
Tip
Exporting sessions to your calendar helps you stay organized when you have a busy schedule with multiple students across different centers.
