Getting Started with Tournament Sense Coach

Tournament Sense Coach is for bowling coaches who want to manage students, run sessions, assign drills, and deliver professional reports — all from one app on phone, tablet, or desktop. This guide takes you from first launch to your first session.

Creating Your Account

1

Open the App

Launch Tournament Sense Coach. You will see the sign-in screen.

2

Sign In or Create Account

If you already have a Tournament Sense account from another app (Bowling, Director, Pro Shop), sign in with the same email and password — one account works everywhere. Otherwise tap Create Account.

3

Enter Your Details

Provide your full name, choose a unique username (3+ characters, letters/numbers/underscores), enter your email, and pick a password (at least 6 characters). Confirm your password.

4

Accept the Legal Agreements

Check the boxes for the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then tap Sign Up. A verification email is sent automatically.

Profile Setup

After signing up, a short coaching profile pre-fills information that appears on session fees, invoices, and student-facing reports. Only your name is required — the rest can be added later under More > Settings.

1

Confirm Your Name

Pre-filled from sign-up. This is what students see when you invite them.

2

Specializations (optional)

Tap any specialties that fit you — physical game, mental game, ball motion, spare shooting, two-handed, youth coaching, and more. These show on your coaching profile.

3

Certifications (optional)

Add any USBC or international certifications you hold (USBC Silver, USBC Gold, IBPSIA, etc.).

4

Hourly Rate (optional)

Set your default hourly coaching rate. When you create a session, the fee auto-calculates from this rate and the session length. You can override it per session.

5

Home Center (optional)

Choose the bowling center where you primarily coach. You can change it or add more centers later.

Organization

After your profile, you choose how you want to coach:

Tip

Skipping is the right choice unless you already know you're joining an organization. You can convert later without losing any students or session history.

Navigation

On phones the app uses a bottom navigation bar with four tabs. On tablets and desktop, navigation switches to a sidebar with categorized Coaching, Tools, and Organization sections.

Add Your First Student

1

Tap New Student or Invite a Student

From the Dashboard, tap the New Student chip — or open the Students tab and tap the Invite a Student card.

2

Generate an Invite Code

Optionally enter the student's email to send an invite link. The app generates a 6-character invite code you can share via text, email, or screenshot. The student enters this code in the bowler app — and the apps automatically connect.

3

Auto-Match Existing Bowlers

If your student already uses Tournament Sense Bowling, the app tries to match them automatically by their TS Identifier or name. The Students tab shows a banner with unmatched links so you can confirm them with one tap.

Schedule Your First Session

From the Dashboard, tap the New Session chip. Pick a student, set date/time and duration, and the fee auto-calculates from your hourly rate. After the session you can record frames, add private or shared notes, assign drills from the built-in 40+ drill library, and generate a PDF report.

Tip — Works on every device

Tournament Sense Coach runs on iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows. Your data syncs across all of them automatically.
