Assignments
Assignments let you give students homework between sessions. Create practice plans, drills, notes to review, or custom checklists — then track whether they complete them on time.
Creating an Assignment
Navigate to the Assignments section (under More) and tap + to create a new assignment.
Select a Student
Choose which student should receive this assignment.
Title & Description
Give the assignment a clear title (e.g., "Spare Shooting Practice") and an optional description with more detail about what is expected.
Assignment Type
Choose the type:
- Note — a reading or review assignment
- Practice — structured practice to complete on their own
- Homework — general homework or exercises
- Drill — a specific drill from your drill library
Due Date
Set a due date to keep your student accountable. Overdue assignments are flagged on your Dashboard.
Checklist Items
Add individual checklist items to break the assignment into smaller tasks. Students can check off items as they complete them.
Link a Drill
Optionally link a drill from your Drill Library. The student will see the full drill instructions within the assignment.
Assignment Tabs
The assignments list is organized into three tabs so you can quickly see what needs attention:
- Active — assignments that are in progress and not yet due or completed.
- Completed — assignments the student has finished.
- Overdue — assignments past their due date that have not been marked complete.
Checking Off Items & Completing
Open any assignment to see its checklist. Tap individual items to check them off as the student reports progress. When all items are done (or you are satisfied), tap Mark Complete to close the assignment.
Tip
Linked students can check off their own checklist items from the Bowling app. You will see their progress in real time.
